Sister, couple to celebrate anniversaries together

Sister Bernadine Wessel, A.S.C., Mason, Korea, formerly of Angelus, professed her vows July 1, 1959, in Wichita. She will be honored for her 50th Jubilee on July 5 joined by Dave and Kay (Glassman) Wessel, Oakley, who will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Church, Oakley. An open house hosted by their children will follow from 2 to 5 p.m. at Grinnell Senior Center. The couple requests no gifts.

Children of the couple are Lance Wessel and Amanda, Lawrence, and Mark Wessel, Oakley.

Cards can be sent to them at 308 Freeman Ave., Oakley, KS 67748.

Dave Wessel and Kay Glassman were married Aug. 23, 1969, at St. Joseph Church, Oakley.
