True Christian?

Printer-friendly version

Should Barack Hussein Obama Jr., a junior senator from Illinois, be our next president when we are fighting the war of our lives against Islam? Hussein is a Muslim name, which comes from Ali's son, Hussein Ibn Ah (Muslim past religious person). Hussein Obama is named after his late Kenyan father, the late Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Muslim. Barack Hussein Obama Jr. doesn't like his middle name because it has a negative connotation with Saddam Hussein who destroyed his country and eventually was hanged by his people due to his heinous crimes.

At age 6 after his parents divorced, Barack Hussein Obama Jr.'s father died in a traffic accident in Nairobi in 1982; and his mother married another Muslim from Indonesia. Hussein Obama went to a Muslim school for years while in Indonesia and also a Catholic school for a short time. After his stepfather deserted his family, Barack Hussein Obama Jr. and his mother moved to Hawaii.

While Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. might not identify as a Muslim, that is not how the Arab and Muslim majority and religion see it. In the Arab culture and under Islamic law, if your father is a Muslim, so are you. And once a Muslim, always a Muslim. You cannot be anything else. In Islamic eyes, Barack Hussein Obama Jr. is certainly a Muslim. He might think he is a Christian, but the Arabs and Muslims do not and I don't either. We are fighting the Muslims whose main theme in life is to destroy America and the freedoms it possesses.

Barack Hussein Obama Jr. made the trip to his father's homeland of Kenya that he had long promised himself and his mother. In Kenya, he managed to fully embrace a heritage and a family he had never fully known and come to terms with his father, whom he long regarded as a prince, but now realized was a human being burdened by his own illusions and vulnerabilities.

Obama's "loyalties" must be called into question as he is the Democratic presidential candidate. Even if he identifies strongly as a Christian, he is a man who Muslims think is a Muslim, who feels some sort of psychological need to prove himself to his absent Muslim father, and who is now moving in the direction of his father's heritage -- a man who could become our president when we are fighting the war of our lives against Islam? Where will his loyalties be? I don't want him making decisions for the United States to become friends with Iran, Syria and other Mideastern countries. These countries will go to any length to destroy our country and society. Remember, all major strong countries in history were defeated within and by their own government, such as the Roman Empire, Hitler with Germany, Mussolini with Italy, Saddam Hussein with Iraq, etc.

Obama is not a Muslim but...: 10/3/2008
The Muslim religion is the second largest religion in the world with over 1 billion followers, some were born and raised right here in America and not from Middle Eastern descent. So, it would be very ridiculous to assume that all Muslims are terrorists. There were only 19 Muslim extremists involved in the 9/11 attacks, those 19 people could not possibly represent beliefs of the 1 billion Muslims throughout the world. On that note, the second deadliest terrorist attack that took place in the U.S. was the Oklahoma City bombing. And the conspirators? Americans who were opposing our government, especially those who were in favor of gun control. Timothy McVey was a member of the NRA and the Republican Party. So does that mean that everyone who is part of the NRA should be viewed as a possible terrorist? Does that make Sarah Palin a terrorist? Even if he were a Muslim, he still has every right to practice it and to run as president. That is the First Constitutional Amendment, the same Constitution that gives you the right to own a gun, the right to privacy, and the right to publish this editorial.

"Remember, all major strong countries in history were defeated within and by their own government, such as the Roman Empire, Hitler with Germany, Mussolini with Italy, Saddam Hussein with Iraq, etc" I always thought the Allies had something to do with defeating Hitler and Mussolini, silly me.

Shariah law states that any Muslim who rejects Islam should be sentenced to death, but can be forgiven if converting back. A child born to a Muslim is considered the same.

This is asinine. Seriously. How can you call yourself a Christian and then spout off childish, hateful nonsense like this? And why didn't you print your middle name? Are you embarrassed by it? Is it Jessica? Well James Jessica Weber, if this is why you are not voting for Barack Obama, fine. But don't walk around all high and mighty James Jessica Weber because, by your own logic, you can not just call yourself a Christian and *poof* you're a Christian. No, you have to show compassion and understanding to your fellow man, among other things. You know, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Judge not lest you be judged. I'm just saying, you ain't displayin' much Christianity either. In fact, the only thing you are displaying is the attitude of that snotty-nosed kid on the playground that punches kids because their parents named them Leslie or James Jessica Weber. Is this because you got picked on in school Jessica? Because it isn't that Barack Hussien Obama is embarrassed by his name, it's that people like you keep using it as a derogative. Much like all those "Nice skirt, Jessica" cracks you had to deal with. At some point you probably just got tired of it and started using James J. Weber. Am I right? Correct me if I'm wrong about this, because I could be, but we live in a place called America, right? Or is that other people? And in America we have some freedoms that other countries don't have? Or, wait, wait, that's, no, I was right. America, I got the right place. Barack Obama was also born in this place, hang on, let me think of where that was again, it's on the tip of my tongue, oh, got it, America. So he has a choice to decide things for himself, like, if he wants to be a Christian or not. People do it all the time, they're called Born-Agains. So the Muslims may consider him a Muslim, but thanks to that good ole Flag we live under, we can consider him a Christian. That's his choice to make, not yours, and not Muslims. And for the record, we are not fighting Muslims. We, Americans, are fighting terrorists. Some of whom happen to identify with extreme Muslim groups. These extreme Muslim groups do not speak for all Muslims. Just like extreme Christian groups do not speak for all Christians. Then again, you are right, "Thank God for IEDs!" Keep up the good work Jessica. You have every right to believe what you believe. Except maybe next time, try not to be so righteous. Especially when you aren't much of a Christian either.

We're fighting a war against Islam? That's news to me. We invaded Iraq because Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, right? Right? Iraq's full of Muslims. Why aren't we at war with all those civilians? Heck, we're not even trying to convert them to other religions. And why aren't we invading Pakistan then? Or Iran? Seems like a really bad way to war against Islam, when we aren't even fighting against 99% of the people who practice it. Aside from that nitpick, your evidence that Obama is actually a Muslim is, to be blunt, a big pile of baloney. So Obama should be considered a Muslim because Muslim people think of him as one? And this means what to me, exactly? It seems odd that you'd consider their opinion more important than that of the rest of the American public, for starters. I also don't get how if President Obama makes friends with Iran or Syria, they'll still want to be countries that are out to destroy us. Germany and Rome weren't destroyed by their allies.
