Dr. Robert Reed
Dr. Robert Reed, 89, Fargo, N.D., formerly of Spirit Lake, Vergas, Minn., died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Triumph Hospital, Fargo.
He was born Oct. 15, 1918, in Stockton to John and Ella (Chamberlain) Reed. He graduated from Stockton High School, and Kansas State Veterinary College in 1944.
He married Alice Nelson on Dec. 31, 1947, in Clifford, N.D. He worked as an assistant to the state veterinarian. He was a veteran, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, John Reed, Brooten, Minn., and Terry Reed, Hillsboro, N.D.; three daughters, Vickie Milde, Menasha, Wisc., Susan Stringer, Modesto, Calif., and Kim Smith, McAllen, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were July 1 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.
Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro, was in charge of arrangements.
