Virginia Lee Bleske
Virginia Lee Bleske, 72, Victoria, formerly of Alma and Salina, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at St. John's Health Care Center, Victoria.
She was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Topeka to Cyrus J. and May E. (Barnett) Helms.
She married Dale Arthur Bleske on June 27, 1955, in Topeka. He preceded her in death Oct. 29, 2003. She and her husband owned and operated Dale's Hy-Klas Grocery Store until 1978.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Alma.
Survivors include a son, Calvin Bleske and wife, Sharon, Victoria; three daughters, Cynthia Bleske, Russell, Jennifer Bleske, Eureka, and Ambre Bleske, Alma; a sister, Marilyn Lee, Topeka; and two grandsons, Jordan Bleske and Ryan Bleske.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Clayton Helms, Dale Helms, Lloyd Helms and Cyrus Helms Jr.; and three sisters, Letha Cumptom, Margurite Amon and Eva Pfannenstiel.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Alma; graveside services will be at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in West Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Auburn.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
A vigil will be at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center in care of the mortuary.
