Thomas L. Sauer
Thomas L. Sauer, 61, Ellsworth, formerly of Ness City, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Ellsworth County Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Hays to Frankie Carl and Margaret (Lemaster) Sauer.
He married Evelyn Wagler on Sept. 16, 1972, in Ransom. He did maintenance work on roads and bridges for Ness County.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Sheri Lyn Howard, Leavenworth; step-mother, Naida Sauer, Ness City; a brother, Jerry Sauer, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stillborn son, Anthony William.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Ellsworth; burial in Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
Memorials are suggested to ECF Spritual Life Center or Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
