Stephen Maurice Link

Stephen Maurice Link, 57, Plainville, formerly of Hays, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita.

He was born June 7, 1951, in Lyons to Paul Maurice and Dixie Lee (Simpson) Link.

He married Marie Walters in 1970 in Hays. He later married Judy Urban in 1972 in Hays. He was co-owner of Lucky Iron Oil Production.

Survivors include a son, Buck Link, Phoenix; three daughters, Dawn Stephanie Schramm, Middleton, Wis., Brandy Rene Lee, Fort Morgan, Colo., and Terri Rae Link, Newberg, Ore.; his mother, Salina; a brother, Randy Link, Wichita; two sisters, Vicki Black, Stillwater, Okla., and Paula Link, Salina; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ellinwood; burial in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kimple Funeral Home, Ellinwood.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Steve Link Family Memorial in care of the funeral home.
