Marion Sharkey, 79, Weskan, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Hynes Hospice Center at Via Christi-St. Francis, Wichita.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1929, in Anthony to George and Bessie (Hughbanks) Asper.
She married Jean H. Sharkey on Jan. 31, 1953, in Anthony.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Mike Sharkey, Otis; Chris Sharkey, Overland Park; two daughters, Shawn Jeffery. Hill City, and Lynn Kasten, Sharon Springs; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark on July 3, 2002.
Services were Saturday at Weskan United Methodist Church, burial in Weskan Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Weskan EMS or Weskan Baptist Church, in care of Koons Funeral Home, Sharon Springs, or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735.
