Selma A. Payne
Selma A. Payne, 75, McPherson, formerly of Ellis, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Halstead Place, Halstead.
She was born May 1, 1933, in Hays to Harold C. and Carrie L. (Bean) Beckstrom. She was a 1951 graduate of Ellis High School.
She worked in the housekeeping and laundry department at the Red Coach Inn, McPherson.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Payne and wife, Sherry, Hays, and Marc Payne and wife, Connie, Wichita; a daughter, Connie Fisher and husband, Ronnie, Salina; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson; burial at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church or Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
