Ronald Dean Cameron

Ronald Dean Cameron, 75, Newton, N.C., died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Palliative Care Center and Hospice, Newton.

He was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Hill City to Clarence Edward and Grace Mildred (Price) Cameron. He attended Prairie Home Elementary School and was a 1950 graduate of Hill City Memorial High School.

He married Lily Gertrude Kelly on Nov. 20, 1963, in Fort Meyer, Alexandria, Va. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Joseph Scott Cameron, a contractor for U.S. government in Iraq; a brother, Gary Cameron, Hill City; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard.

Memorials are suggested to Emphysema Society in care of the funeral home.
