Virginia Mae Meschke

Virginia "Ginny" Meschke, 87, Hays, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Hutchinson to James Orville and Charlotte Belle (Springstead) Fishback.

She married John A. Dunn on Oct. 9, 1943. He died in World War II. She later married Tom Oscar Meschke on Nov. 18, 1947.

Survivors include her husband, Cedar View Assisted Living, Hays; two sons, John D. Meschke and wife, Nannette, Hutchinson, and Larry James Meschke, Garden City; a daughter, Marty Maureen Kraemer and husband, Richard, Hays; a brother, James Everett Fishback and wife, Pat, Garden City; seven grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death a sister, Mary Rose Fishback.

Services are pending in Garden City. Hays Memorial Chapel, 20th and Pine, Hays is in charge of arrangements.
