Melvin Louis Lohr
Melvin Louis Lohr, 81, Sherman County, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Swedish Hospital, Denver.
He was born June 10, 1927, in Kanorado to Louis Frederick and Tillie G. (Luken) Lohr. He attended elementary school at Kanorado and was a 1948 graduate of Sherman Community High School, Goodland.
He married Patricia M. Owen on June 22, 1958, in Goodland. He worked for the Goodland School District until 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Goodland; two sons, Kevin B. Lohr, Leesburg, Va., and Brad K. Lohr, Denver; a daughter, Gwen G. Stormont, Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Mildred Gutsch, Goodland, and Evelyn Davis, Burlington, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Mountain time Friday at First United Methodist Church, Goodland; burial in Goodland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Mountain time Thursday at the Koons Funeral Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in care of the chapel.
