Mary Belle Miller

Mary Belle Miller, 87, WaKeeney, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2008, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

She was born April 8, 1921, in Dexter to Walter Thomas and Bessie May (Johnson) Tredway.

She married Glenn F. Miller on Feb. 14, 1942, in Winfield. He preceded her in death March 21, 2006. She was a medical assistant for Medical Center in WaKeeney.

Survivors include two daughters, Kaye Basinger, Fort Collins, Colo., and Sharon Dodig, Overland Park; three brothers, Albert Tredway, Amarillo, Texas, Robert Tredway, Winfield, and Walter E. Tredway, Neosha Rapids; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney; burial in Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Presbyterian Church or Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital in care of the funeral home.
