Mary Ann Kruse

Mary Ann Kruse, 83, Oakley, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Salina Regional Health Center.

She was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Angelus to George and Agnes Ostmeyer Schulte.

She married Ambrose "Bridge" Kruse on April 14, 1947, in Angelus. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Kruse, Seattle, and Jeff Kruse, Manhattan; two daughters, Jan Geier, Girard, and Lois Schippers, Salina; two brothers, Bill Schulte, Oakley, and Dennis Schulte, Dodge City; a sister, Marge Hemmert, Oakley; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Max Lee Kruse, in 2005.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.

A rosary/wake will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Church in care of the funeral home.
