Kraig W. Dexter

Kraig W. Dexter, 61, Pittsburg, formerly of Laramie, Wyo., died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo.

He was born Nov. 6, 1947, in Garden City to Harry and Eleanor Mae Browning Dexter.

He married Robin McGarry on Sept. 25, 1987, in Johnson. He was a retired high school principal. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Kendra Dexter, Clearwater, and Kassandra Barreto, Fort Riley; a brother, Kris Dexter, Garden City; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Scott City; burial in Scott County Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.

Memorials are suggested to Fort Hays State University Art Department in care of the funeral home.
