June E. Piesker Smith

June E. Piesker Smith, 87, Lyons, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at St. John's Nursing Home, Victoria.

She was born June 23, 1920, in Elk Falls to Clyde and Elsie Thomas Dexter. She was a graduate of Longton High School.

She married Clifford Piesker on Oct. 14, 1943, in Cherryvale. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1954. She later married Frank D. Robinson on May 10, 1956, in Lyons. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1983. She later married Cecil "Smitty" Smith on Sept. 12, 1992. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1995. She was employed at JC Penny's in Independence and Lyons.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Piesker, and wife, Jan, Victoria and Max Robinson and wife, Janie, St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Delores Carter, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; and many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Birzer-Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons; burial in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
