Irene I. Seitz

Irene I. Seitz, 86, Hays, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at her home.

She was born Feb. 21, 1922 in Hays to Wendelin J. and Mary (Munsch) Bieker.

She married Thomas A. Seitz Sr. on May 27, 1943. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1985. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two foster daughters, Viola Kohlrus, Hays and Diane Ryan, Minden, Neb.; a step-daughter, Margaret Archer, Great Bend; a step-son, Norbert Seitz. Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Edwin Bieker, La Crosse and Robert Bieker, Pueblo, Colo.; a sister, Mary Ann Jacobs, Russell, four foster grandchildren, Christina Bennett, Great Bend, Irene Kohlrus, Hays, Bryan Fetterolf and Matthew Jacobs, both of Minden; and two foster great-grandchildren, Cameron Jacob Kohlrus, Hays and Cole Fetterolf, Minden,

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church; burial in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays.

A wake will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
