Walter James Horn

Walter James Horn, 84, Dighton, formerly of Arkansas, died Friday at Lane County Hospital, Dighton.

He was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Baxter County, Ark., to Robert B. and Tessie E. (Fugate) Horn.

He married Clara Michaelis on April 13, 1952. She preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 1993. He later married Lottie Burnett in October 1995 in Dighton. He was a highway maintenance supervisor for state of Kansas for more than 30 years.

Survivors include a brother, William E. Horn, Great Bend; a sister, Emogene Sikes, Viola, Ark.; and two friends, Lottie Burnett and Judi Timken, both of Dighton.

Services were Monday at First Christian Church, Dighton; burial in Utica Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Joy Center, Dighton.
