Florence E. Schutte
Florence E. Schutte, 84, La Crosse, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Mennonite Manor, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Rush Center to Phillip and Esther (Yost) Wilhelm. She was a graduate of La Crosse High School.
She married Fredrick "Dudley" Schutte on Nov. 12, 1943, in Paso Robles, Calif. He preceded her in death Feb. 6, 2002. She was a daycare provider for 35 years.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas Schutte, Pretty Prairie, Mark Schutte, Wichita, and Mike Schutte, Hays; two sisters, Kathryn Pickens, Douglas, and Joyce Rogers, McCracken; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Janousek Funeral Home Chapel, La Crosse; burial in La Crosse City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Mennonite Manor, Hutchinson, in care of the funeral home.
