Elza Emmet Stull

Elza Emmet "Hap" Stull, 99, Brownell, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 14, 1910, in Brownell, to Jacob and Jennie Randall Stull.

He married Irene Sekavec on June 13, 1933, in Alexander. She preceded him in death Jan. 21, 2005. He was a stockman and rancher.

Survivors include two sons, Jon Stull and wife, Janice, McCracken, and Richard Stull and wife, Phyllis, Ness City; a daughter, Linda Gearhart and husband, Murle, Stillwater, Okla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Cory; five brothers, Clark, Frank, Mark, Fred and Clarence Stull; and two sisters, Dove Walker and Ruth Snodgrass.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City; burial in Vansburg Cemetery, Brownell.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with family present from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Ransom Senior Center or North Ness County EMT in care of the funeral home.
