Ella A. Merklein
Ella A. Merklein, 99, Phillipsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, at Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg.
She was born March 5, 1909, in Stuttgart to Martin and Margaret (Vogel) Kistner.
She was a homemaker.
She married Henry Merklein on Oct. 5, 1932, in Stuttgart. He preceded her in death July 1, 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Lentz, Phillipsburg; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Orville and Bob Merklein.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stuttgart; burial in Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Stuttgart.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, both at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.
Memorials are suggested to Emmanuel Church Fund or Phillips County Hospital in care of the chapel.
