I worked at the convenience store in Quinter, where Ed would come in every once in a while. He'd always stand around and visit with me for quite a while before leaving. He had told me that he would dress up as Santa Claus for my two young children this Christmas. I was deeply impacted by his sweet demeanor, and was devastated to learn of his death. He will be greatly missed.

Ed's love for Park: 9/4/2008
I am the Sheriff and Ed would call me often about problems in Park. He would call about kids that were driving crazy and going to hurt someone. Ed would help anyone, he was forever helping the elders of Park and looking after thier needs. I was told that Ed hadn't been feeling weel for the last couple of weeks but that didn't stop him. I was mtold that even not feeling weel he helped carry a washer and dryer to the basement for an elderly women just 2 days before his death. Ed had helped and offered to help me several times in the past years. Ed will be greatly missed by the Park community and especially his dad (Butch). Ed may you rest in peace.
