Donald Wayne Oren

Donald Wayne Oren, 66, Hoxie, formerly of Colby, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Sheridan County Long Term Care, Hoxie.

He was born Nov. 5, 1941, near Hoxie to Arlie and Grace Patmon Oren.

He married Jean Alldredge on Aug. 2, 1964, in Colby. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, David Oren, Colby; a daughter, Kathryn Oren, Abilene; two brothers, Jerry Oren, Wahpeton, N.D., and Larry Oren, Colby; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hoxie Christian Church; graveside services will be at 3:45 p.m. in Beulah Cemetery, Colby, with military honors by Fort Riley.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, both at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

Memorials are suggested to Sheridan County Hospice or Hoxie Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
