David G. Deutscher, 60, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born July 4, 1947, in Hays to Norbert Arnold and Georgia Irene (Groff) Deutscher.

He married Carolyn Deutscher on May 30, 1982, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a retired journeyman electrician, farmer and owner of Dave's Tree and Lawn Service.

He attended Celebration Community Church.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, Ellis; two sons, Craig David Deutscher, Salina, and Jeremiah Ryan Deutscher, Wichita; a daughter, Carissa Lynn Deutscher, Denver; a brother, Kenneth Norbert Deutscher, WaKeeney; a sister, Wanda Ruth Deutscher, Hays; and a granddaughter, Divinity Dream Deutscher, Wichita.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Warren Keith Deutscher.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday, both at the funeral home.
