Daryl Bruce "Barney" Barnes, 62, Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., died Saturday Oct. 31, 2009.
He was born Jan. 30, 1947, in Des Moines. He graduated from East High School.
He worked at the post office for 16 years until retirement in 2004. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma (Moon) Barnes; two daughters, April Dudley and Danielle Barnes; two brothers, Danny and David; a sister, Cheryl; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services were Wednesday at Maranatha Open Bible Church, Des Moines.
Memorials are suggested to Daryl Bruce "Barney" Memorial Fund.
