Bernice M. Osburne, 98, Quinter, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter.
She was born July 23, 1910, in rural Sheridan County to Henry and Winifred (Quakenbush) James.
She married Cecil O'Dell. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Ray Corke. He preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Pete Osburne. He preceded her in death in 1988. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Jim O'Dell, Brighton, Colo.; three daughters, Gracie Graham, Manhattan, Arlene Johnson, Redding, Calif., and Mildred Jamison, Quinter; two sisters, Nettie Landon, Montrose, Colo., and Marie Petty, Tucson, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard "Dick" O'Dell.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Studley; burial in Mount Pleasant Baptist Cemetery, Studley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.
Memorials are suggested to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church or Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care in care of the funeral home.
