The westbound rest area and parking lots located approximately 4 miles east of WaKeeney along Interstate 70 were temporarily closed Wednesday for plumbing repairs.

Kansas Department of Transportation crews with the Area Three Office are making repairs to a sewer line located within the rest area’s facilities. Crews plan to have the rest area reopened by Monday.
