Ellis Co. Relay for Life raises more than $76,000

Printer-friendly version

About a month after the 2008 Ellis County Relay for Life event came to a close, committee members already are hard at work planning for next year's event.

The 2008 event raised more than $76,000 in team and corporate sponsorship.

The committee had its first planning meeting Tuesday evening and is looking ahead to the next event, to be held in early June.

Details such as location, time and a theme have not yet been decided, but the team intends to get an early start in planning the 2009 relay.

Volunteers for the committee are needed.

For more information, or to volunteer, contact Mary Rohlf at (785) 623-1196 or Mary Befort at (785) 735-2878.
