Homecoming also celebrates Nicodemus Historical Society

Printer-friendly version

A dual celebration is on tap for this weekend in Nicodemus.

That's when the 130th Emancipation and homecoming celebration will be held in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Nicodemus Historical Society.

On Thursday, a Jeans Beans feed will be at the home of historical society president Thomas Wellington in Bogue. The celebration is in cooperation with A A Coors of Hays.

Hot dogs, beans and drinks will be available.

Homecoming is a weekend full of activities, including a parade and several presentations. Health care screening will also be available.

Dances will start at 10 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

Church services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church.
