Texas man injured in one-vehicle accident

A one-vehicle accident Friday sent a Texas man to the hospital with possible injuries.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Thomas Martin, 38, Livingston, Texas, was westbound on Interstate 70 a mile and a half east of Hays at about 2 p.m. Friday when he fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle entered the median and struck a cross-over before coming to rest in the median.

Martin was transported to Hays Medical Center with possible injuries. KHP said Martin was wearing a safety belt.
