FHSU golf takes eighth at regionals

FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Fort Hays State University men's golf team finished its season with an eighth-place finish Wednesday at the NCAA Div. II Central Regional at Red Hawk Run Golf Course.
The Tigers finished at 944 after three rounds. Washburn University won the regional title with a team score of 884 and advances to the NCAA II Championships. Central Missouri finished second, 13 shots behind Washburn.
Fort Hays' top finisher was Jacob Hoover, who tied for 17th at 229. Aaron Lisenbee of Missouri Western won the individual title with an even par 216. Lisenbee finished three shots ahead of Southwest Baptist's Brad Nipper and Central Missouri's Justin Yoder.
Others who competed in the event for Fort Hays: Jeff Roether, tied for 27th at 233; Brent Millikan, 36th at 241; Nick Rotolo, tied for 37th at 244; Brendon Gross, tied for 41st at 252.
