Munsch wins at Junction City for HHS

JUNCTION CITY -- For the second year in a row, Hays High School junior Josh Munsch took home gold in the Junction City Invitational for the Indian cross country team.
Munsch finished in 16 minutes, 50 seconds to claim first place for the fourth time this season to lead the Indians. Five runners ran the varsity race for Hays High with junior Vincent Bizzell finishing 21st in 18:51 and senior Danny Simon 22nd in 19:02. Junior Mitchell Dicksinson ran a 22:06 and came in at No. 32. Dallas Kaiser also competed on varsity, finishing 33rd in 22:11.
In the girls' race, two Indians earned varsity medals, with junior Kylie Gaughan finishing third in 16:11. Freshman Madeline Kasra ran a 16:56 to finish 11th for the Indians' other medal. Only three full teams participated with Hays taking third with 60 points.
