By The Hays Daily News
Five area volleyball players were recognized Sunday by the Kansas Volleyball Association for their performances in the Kansas State Volleyball Championship tournaments over the weekend.
Three players from Phillipsburg: junior Melissa Blair, junior Samantha Voorhees, and senior MaKenzie Weinman, were named to the Class 3A All-Tournament team. Phillipsburg placed second behind Wichita Collegiate in Saturday's finals at the Class 3A tournament at Salina's Bicentennial Center.
In Class 2A, two players from Oberlin earned all-tournament honors. Both junior Jordan Dreher and senior Adrienne Pauls were selected to the 2A team. Oberlin finished fourth in the 2A field at Hays' Gross Memorial Coliseum. Both Dreher of Oberlin and Weinman of Phillipsburg are two-time selections to their respective all-tournament teams.
